Conference Center Update
The brick veneer installation is 80% complete.
The manhole for the storm line along Price Ave. has been set with the north sand filter structure to follow.
The roof is complete with the exception of the Porte Cochere and the Clock Tower.
The framing of the Clock Tower is scheduled to start next week.
The pouring of the sidewalks at the north and south end of the Parking Deck will commence this week.
The Inside:
The Ballroom ceiling is covered with drywall, with wood trim installation to begin next week.
The ceramic tile installation in the south restrooms has begun as finishes are starting to be installed.
The Kitchen exhaust hood and walk-in cooler and freezer have been installed.
There is drywall on 85% of the walls and ceiling framing is 55% complete.
The Parking Deck:
The Parking deck will Open on October 1, 2012 after the 11am ribbon cutting.
Service Truck and Downtown Employees Parking:
After October 1st restaurants located within the Central Business District should continue to encourage deliveries to take place on Highway 78/Bankhead Highway prior to 8:00 am.
Deliveries accepted after 8:00 am must be parked on the Railroad side of Highway 78/Bankhead Highway.
All deliveries need to take place prior to 10:00 am.
Restaurants that have employees parking on Highway 78/Bankhead Highway should encourage the use of the parking deck to avoid parking availability issues for their customers and delivery drivers.
