Downtown Development Authority

The DDA is a corporate body appointed by City Council, recognized by State law, and functions as an important tool in downtown redevelopment. The DDA is eligible to receive certain grant monies, whereas, a local business or merchant association may not quality. The DDA can utilize a variety of financing tools outlined in the Official Code of Georgia, as well as local and state incentives. Money created from the implementation of these tools can be used in a number of ways to bring about revitalization and economic development of the central business district.

Sanitation Double Route Day

September 4, All Day

Due to the Labor Day Holiday Tuesday September 4th will be a double route day for sanitation. Monday and Tuesday’s route will be on Tuesday September 4th.
